Bye-Bye to Nursery (Before)
I thought I'd share my son's nursery. Since I've been finding inspiration for his big boy room, we're saying bye-bye to his nursery. We actually said bye-bye to his nursery when we moved out of our house in Birmingham and now his room is sort-of in transition since we don't own a house here yet. We never dreamed we'd be "in transition" this long, so it's driving me C.R.A.Z.Y.!!! Here are some before and during shots of our gender neutral nursery. We did not find out the gender of our first baby until the doctor shouted "IT'S A BOY!"
{excuse the poor photo quality --- at some point our computer crashed after taking these and $1,000 later they were only able to recover the low res files}
I realized this was the only "before" picture I had, but it was shortly after the process started....
JT putting up the wall ledge and crown moulding after painting the room...
After the crown moulding and wall ledge were installed
Corner showing details of wall ledge and crown moulding --- still unfinished
My very talented mother-in-law hand made all of the crib bedding etc. and here is a picture she sent me after completing it. I could not wait to get it from her once I saw this picture!
This is the hand-me-down armoire we got from my sister. It was in pretty bad shape....complete with art work from her daughter!
Here is the valance and sheers hung in the room, the first piece that went into the room...

i love the wall ledge...dying to see the after. all the individual pieces are so great :)
Ok. I am cracking up at:
1- forgot how bad I let the girls ruin the white amroire. I now have a better appreciation for JT fixing it.
2- JT looks so young!!!!!!!
